The Year now: 2007

Last year, sounds so long ago, but last year was just one week ago...

Last year has been a wonderful year. Went through ups, as well as downs, but, the ups are much more than the downs..

First, I went through my second semester of second year. They say it is a killer semester, it was indeed (and they say the final semester is the killer among the killer(s)...) It was really a busy semester, where it was the first time that we need to attend seminars instead of lectures and tutorials, and there were a lot of readings, a lot of pre-seminar assignments, a lot of project meetings, a lot of presentation (as usual).... a lot of a lot of things....I pulled it through.

Then it was my Professional Attachment (PA). A wonderful experience, a fruitful learning journey. The most valuable skill that I have learnt is soft skill, communication with other people. Communicating with my supervisor, my senior manager, my audit partner, my colleagues, staff from other departments, the clients....Communicating with different "level" (seniority) of people requires different set of communication skill. Had to wake up at 6.30 every morning and get ready for work, and then join other fellow "da gong zai" to rush for the train and bus.

Then, there was EID (in a way there is a connection between EID and I...*blush*). Happy for my friends, and proud of them (this include my EEE friends, who got champion for their DIP). They really put in a lot of effort, coming up with ideas and making the prototype. Despite the fact that they only had less than 2 months to do the project, they managed to come up with brilliant ideas and transform their ideas into reality. Well done friends!

The champions

Another auspicous event. My sister's life as an undergraduate is offically over. She has graduated from the Law Faculty of UM. Congrates to dear sis...You are the best ^^

My family

However, grandpa passed away, the day after we took this family picture. According to the nurse, he passed away peacefully in his sleep. Rest in peace grandpa.

August 2006, I am officially a final year student. Time flies, without realising, I have finished 2/3 of my uni life. A interesting sem. We needed to play a simulation game for one of the module, meeting every week to make the business decisions....I'll make careful consideration next time if I want to start a business, but definitely not in the mobile industry....(muahaha)

Luke did his Industrial Attachment (IA) during this semester. Was quite a learning journey. Hooray for dear ~~ (hee)

After exam, is holiday. Worked during the holiday, quite an experience also. I enjoyed working there. Sis came to visit me during the X'mas break. We went to Bugis, China town (she wanted to try the almond paste and the "tang yuan"), Orchard and East Coast Park. Had a great time, especially at ECp where we cycled along the beach, although it rained. Brought her to Subway for lunch, end up dissappointed. The oven was not working and they only had one type of bread! We ate cold sandwich, in a cold afternoon....I shall bring her to the Subway in JP next time.

A sand castle @ ECP

Went back to KL at the end of December, to enjoy the last bit of my holiday before school reopens. Looking back, I would say it has been a nice chapter, not a perfect one, but a satisfying one. The end of a chapte, the beginning of a new one.

Did I mention that I celebrated the end of the chapter at a gay bar? Tantric, at Tanjong Pagar.
