Greetings from Sandusky! 12:53 AM

Finally, access to Internet. Tried to use the wireless but it still can't work. The laptop can detect the wireless network but I just can't load the pages. It said something about the Firewall does not allow HTTP/ HTTPS (something like that) and that I have to check the settings for these ports....but how????? Anyone can teach me? The laptop I am using is Acer TravelMate 370.

Been here for almost 2 weeks. The weather is very unpredictable. It could be very sunny and hot this minute and suddenly the wind blows from every direction in another minute, and the wind is so so so cold. It is like being in a natural big freezer when it is cold, and being in a giant microwave when it is hot. It is nonetheless a very different kind of experience. The scenery here is beautiful and nice. The place where I am working at is surrounded by Lake Erie. It is a very big lake and it becomes ice when winter comes.

Cedar Point Amusement Park is definitely a place to go if you like thrill rides. The rides here are ultimate and fast, but fun. I tried only 2 of the rides so far, as the weather is too cold and I do not wish to be high up in the air in this kind of weather.

Staying in an apartment with 5 rooms. Altogether there are 16 of us (all girls) under one roof. Haha can you imagine how it is like when everyone is in? And we have friends over too. So basically it is very lively and it is never quiet. We cook and talk together every night before we go to bed. It is really nice to have them as housemates. Love them much!

Basically I am having a great time here. Working is tiring (housekeeping is really not easy) and I trully believe now that doing house chores can actually help us to lose weight...("p) But otherwise, things are fine. We always go shopping for food, and there are really good bargains here for clothes and shoes! My housemate bought a pair of really nice boots for only USD 4!!! And I bought my convo ball dress at a very cheap price!!! (guess it yourself)

Oh and the flight from Singapore to USA is a tiring one, and I remember when I first stepped on the land of USA, I feel kind of unbelievable that I am actually at the other side of the world, and I am the minority in this foreign land. But the people are nice and so far I am happy to be here and no regrets to be here (except really for the weather). Oh and one more amazing thing is that I actually met my brother's college classmates here and we are housemates!! For brother: your friends are Chu Yee, Li Si and Bi Xia.

Took alot of pictures here and made new friends here. For the pictures, check out Flickr.com. There are loads of them and I am lazy to upload all of them to my Friendster.

That's all for now, can't remember what I wanted to write...("p) When summer comes it will be very busy here.

Till then, take care!
